The Lifesaving World Championships are set to come to Adelaide again for the second time in six years; in a major coup for South Australia. Up and down our coastline competitors are getting ready for intense competition through much of November and early December.
Lifesaving competitions are run all over the world with participants spanning in age from eight years old to eighty.
It’s the biggest meet of life savers in the world with many competitors working near rivers and lakes, not the ocean, so instead of the surf they’re expected to do well in the pool.
Competition starts on the 16th of November. For details, head to their website.
