Pet-friendly accommodation in Encounter Bay

A holiday is the best way to relax and reconnect with family and loved ones. And when we say family, we mean absolutely everyone – that’s why we’ve enlisted the help of Eddie the Labradoodle – to sniff out a pet-friendly holiday the whole family will love!

Our destination today is the NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park, which overlooks majestic Encounter Bay on the fabulous Fleurieu Peninsula – a cracker of a location, set right on the beach between the Bluff and Granite Island!

Most Holiday Parks are pet-friendly – only if you bring your own caravan or tent… but, not this place! The NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park is one of the very few holiday parks in the state that offer pet-friendly cabins all year round. So, you can take your best mate along with you!

The park has thoughtfully converted its older-style cabins to welcome four-legged friends – and their humans! Offering two bedrooms and sleeping up to five – these air-conditioned units also boast a shaded outdoor enclosure with a kennel, so your pooch can safely snooze to the soundtrack of the sea!

And for those travelling without a pet – there’s now immaculate new villas on offer. Set amongst manicured gardens and generous lawns overlooking the ocean, these are seriously some of the nicest villas we’ve ever seen.

Now that your digs are sorted – it’s time to explore this holiday playground – and there’s loads to do! Kids will love the waterpark, waterslide and the pool — which is heated to 26 degrees all year round (apart from when it’s sweltering weather in summer, that is!) There’s also a pump track and a giant jumping pillow.

Simply head to the website for more information and to book your next beachside escape. And remember… if you’re a dog owner and can’t bear to leave those sad puppy-dog eyes behind – why not book one of their pet-friendly cabins and bring the whole family? Either way, a howling good time is guaranteed!
