Andrew’s Fleurieu Peninsula Caravanning Adventure

Last year there were around 11.6 million overnight caravan and camping trips undertaken by Australians – as more of us are hitting the road to discover the great outdoors.  There are loads of great caravan parks and camping spots across every region of South Australia, however the Fleurieu Peninsula ticks all the boxes – as it’s far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle of the city but it’s also within easy reach.

The Jetty Caravan Park is situated right on the beach at Normanville, sandwiched between the sand hills and the Bungla River. Bev and Peter Daniell took over the park just over a year ago…and thanks to their hard work improving the grounds; they’ve already seen occupancy increase.

The park offers the traveller a variety of accommodation from 1 and 2 Bedroom Ensuite Cabins, to Budget Accommodation catering for small groups and backpackers. Caravan and camping sites are located amongst the sand hills and trees offering protection from the elements.

There is an open plan camp kitchen, a huge open fire to gather around on those chilly nights and a large dining area – making it a comfortable spot to share with family and friends.

Beautiful Normanville beach is also only steps away from the park, and with its wooden jetty, calm aqua waters and wide sandy beaches it’s clear to see why this area has long been a favourite holiday destination for families.
