It’s quiet at Karen Rolton Oval right now but next week that’s all set to change when the Women’s Big Bash cricket kicks off. They’ll be music, food, and plenty of things to do for families, but more importantly, you’re going to see some incredible cricket.
On Saturday the Strikers start their season and play host to the Renegades with all the excitement and fun of t20 cricket right here in our backyard.
Suzie Bates and Alex Price are two of the Stars of the WBBL and are confident the fans can expect some big things this season as Suzie explains “We’ve got a really good squad together and obviously with it being a bit earlier in the year it’s coming around sooner rather than later, and we’ve pretty much got the same squad as last year, so it’s exciting.”
Alex agrees. “Yeah, I’m pretty pumped. I really playing with Suze and Soph and a few new faces this year so I can get in their face and annoy them as well, so it’s nice to have some new people to annoy!”
This coming Saturday’s game at Karen Rolton Oval starts at 2 pm with food trucks and plenty of activities for the family… and the best part? It’s absolutely free!
So why not come down and watch the Strikers start their season in style with hopefully a big win over the Renegades! For more information about the Strikers fixture visit adelaidestrikers.com.au.
