The Shiraz trail is an 8-kilometre bike trail along the old railway line between Willunga and McLaren Vale. It’s an easy ride with loads of cellar door highlights along the way.
But this is not just any old bike ride; we’ve joined Simon Burley of Coast & Co. for its E-Bike Winery tour. Departing from Primo Estate, we’re cruising our way around the region, sampling some wines and enjoying a spot of lunch.
The great thing about doing a tour is tapping into the local knowledge of the winemakers and guides, and it’s clear to see Simon is passionate about McLaren Vale.
“It’s a region I’ve been scampering around in since I was a child,” he told us. “Now that I’m actually running tours, I find it a real privilege to show people the region that I grew up in and that I really love.”
The ‘e’ in e-bike doesn’t just stand for electric, it’s also ‘e’ for easy! We promise you’ll barely break a sweat, making it a very enjoyable way to explore McLaren Vale. On our winery tour, we visited Primo Estate, Samson Tall, Red Poles and Hugh Hamilton Wines.
So for a tour that combines nature, food and wine, you can’t go past a Coast & Co. E-Bike Winery Tour. Simply hop on the website for all the details.
