Burra is one of Australia’s most well preserved Victorian era towns. Just a two-hour drive from Adelaide, discovering its rich mining heritage is like stepping back in time.
There is a lot to see and do in Burra so Kelly goes to the Visitor Information Centre and collects a special passport and key. This allows her to take a self-guided tour called the ‘Burra Heritage Passport’. The key gives her access to many locked sites that are normally restricted, and she enjoys seeing some of Burra’s most fascinating places at her leisure.
