Ali Clarke is one of South Australia’s most familiar and popular media personalities. Having grown up in Queensland, Ali moved to SA in 2000 and loves it so much, she has convinced her parents and brother to move down too!
As well as her busy career, Ali is the Mother of three children and often writes about how to juggle both work and family. Her top pick for taking her kids to burn off some energy, is the Princess Elizabeth Playground on South Terrace. With mini trampolines, see-saws, and a large swirl slide it will definitely keep them entertained. Another Ali recommendation is Bonython Park in North Adelaide.
When she and her husband Matt find the time, they take the kids and head straight to the glorious beaches of Carrickalinga, Normanville, Second Valley, and Rapid Bay.
Ali also supports a number of charities and is an Ambassador for the Phoenix Society, Minda and Carer Support and is especially passionate about helping people with disabilities.
One of her favourite spots to eat is Minda’s ‘Inclusive Café’ at Brighton. Not only does it serve up delicious food, but it also gives people with disabilities real-life work experience. And as a social enterprise all the money they make goes straight back into helping people. Now the warmer months are here – it’s just the place to enjoy a cup of coffee, breakfast or lunch.
