House Rules is a tough competitive competition. For Adelaide couple Kate and Harry it has been a roller-coaster ride as they fight to remain at the head of the game. With time off the show in the lead up to the finals, they’re back in Adelaide looking for inspiration. We join them as they visit two new cool cafes that have just won local architectural awards, Lounders Boathouse and Peter Rabbit.
Lounders Boathouse Café is located on the Torrens River just near Jolly’s Boathouse. The old boatshed has undergone a major renovation to facilitate the needs of a modern café, while retaining as many of the charming heritage elements as possible. The final result was awarded a Heritage Award this year from the Australia Institute of Architects.
Peter Rabbit received a commendation from the Australia Institute of Architects, this time for interior design.
It is the perfect café for a city escape.
