Alana visits two of Adelaide’s most beloved old-school cinemas.
First, she visits the beautifully restored, heritage-listed Capri Theatre in Goodwood. Built in 1941, it is a stunning example of Art Deco Moderne architecture – lovingly restored by a devoted team of volunteers. Alana goes on a tour of the theatre with other curious visitors, then gets a music lesson on its glorious Wurlitzer Organ.
Next, she pops into the Odeon Star at Semaphore. Proudly family owned and run, it is the place to go for friendly, personal service and amazingly low ticket prices.
