Bowerbird Design Market is on its way back to Adelaide again, celebrating a decade as one of the most popular gatherings in an increasingly busy field.
More than 200 stallholders will set up shop in the Adelaide Showgrounds 3-5 May 2019, bringing a cornucopia of contemporary fashion, design and food for the 12,000 style enthusiasts expected to attend.
At Bowerbird’s cleverly crafted helm is Jane Barwick, who has a view about what works with Bowerbird, and why.
“I think the size of it, the fact that it’s curated so that all the products are really high quality. It’s a really friendly market, it’s got a wonderful community feel, and we put a lot of time and energy into the styling of it, too, so it’s really an experience to come and take part.”
And if you fancy getting crafty, Bowerbird organizes about a dozen short workshops which you can pre-book, pay for and join in across the weekend. Workshop offerings are as diverse as leatherworking, printmaking, and macramé – each Bowerbird changes it up a little.
Bowerbird will be nesting at the Wayville Pavillion in the Adelaide Showgrounds from next Friday evening, check online for details of stallholders and workshops, then come and stock up on inspiration.
