Adelaide’s Best High Tea

Adelaide has some amazing and unique High Teas. SA Hall of Famer, Udder Delights, has long been a favourite destination for cheese lovers.  When creating her menu, Founder Sheree Sullivan had several requirements – that it be fresh, homemade and served with a cheesy twist. And of course local sparkling and piping hot tea was a given.

A new high tea experience can be found on board Adelaide’s beloved Popeye. Gliding along the River Torrens watching the sights go by, couldn’t be a lovelier way to enjoy sweet and savoury delights, served on gorgeous china. The delightful array of goodies, are homemade by a Mother and Daughter team who hail from Yorkshire. Called “Lady Green’s” – their cooking is truly authentic.

And for five-star food and service you can’t beat The Mayfair Hotel. With its elegant interior, soft furnishings and Wedgewood china – this has to be the ultimate girls’ day out. They even have their own pastry chef on site!

On offer are delectable sausage rolls, ribbon sandwiches, macaroons, and even pastry choux swans. It’s simply exquisite – definitely an Instagrammer’s dream.  And as an extra bonus, you can also try a sumptuous selection of treats from their famous French Gateaux Trolley.

With all three of our top picks – make sure to book as they often sell out.
