23rd Street Distillery

The Twenty Third Street Distillery is the new incarnation of a century old landmark at Twenty Third Street Renmark, in South Australia’s fertile Riverland. Built in 1914, it was once a state-of-the-art winery and distillery, but fell on hard times and had to close its doors in 2004. Bought by iconic South Australian company, the Bickfords Group, today it’s been completely transformed into a stunning distillery that looks better than ever.
The cellar door is truly impressive with high beamed ceilings and an open, rustic feel. But it’s the drinks they produce on site that are getting international acclaim. Here old-style craft spirits – like gin, whisky, and brandy have been reinvented with a unique, modern spin.

And if you think there could be a gin distiller inside of you – their blending masterclass is just the ticket. Under the watchful eye of Head Distiller Graham Buller, who has 40 years of experience, your own concoction could be the next, big thing!
They also have guided tours several times a day where you can see the distillers in action. To make their beautiful Riverland Rose Vodka for example – up to ten kilos of rose petals are used in each batch – in restored copper stills that are a century old.
They also have a fascinating on-site museum with memorabilia from former employees on display. The Twenty Third Street Distillery is a must see destination where you are welcome to stay and enjoy all day!
